Tioga Downs Casino is pleased to announce that they will be offering a wine list composed exclusively of wines produced in the Finger Lakes Region.
In an effort to strengthen both the relationship of the Casino to the local economy and to increase awareness of the great wines produced in the Finger Lakes Region, Tioga Downs undertook the unprecedented step of creating a wine list that features only Finger Lakes Wines.
The wine list will begin by featuring seven regional wineries. The wineries included on the list are featured because the regional offerings are the jewels of the Finger Lakes, and deserve to be touted, along with the other great aspects of the Region.
Tioga Downs Casino food and beverage staff anticipates that the list and the wineries included on the list will expand over time, as the popularity of Finger Lakes Wines continues to grow. In addition, Tioga Downs Casino will be producing beverages from some of the featured wines, including sangria and frozen wine beverages.
Tioga Downs will begin providing wines on the list beginning May 23, 2009, which coincides with the Vino at the Casino Wine Festival to be held trackside from 2:00pm until 9:00pm.
Located in the heart of the Southern Tier, Tioga Downs Casino Resort is your home away from home for a uniquely fun and exciting getaway! With the thrills of a casino, the excitement of live harness racing, and the delight of fine food and spirits, you can kick back, relax and be thoroughly entertained.
