All Spirit Matches Track Record in Friday Night Feature



All Spirit and Jimmy Marohn Jr. equaled the Tioga Downs track record for 4-year old pacing mares on Friday night, matching the mark set by Tug River Princess (Eric Goodell) in the Artiscape final in 2009.

All Spirit won the $14,000 featured handicap for fillies and mares in the record-equaling time of 1:52.1.

Marohn backed All Spirit off the gate to settle in sixth as Bet The Ranch cut out fractions of 26.4 and 55.2 before Ubetterthink Think (Mike Micallef) tried a first-over challenge reaching the three-quarters in 1:23.3.

Marohn tipped All Spirit three-wide off cover around the last turn and paced head-and-head with Ubetterthink Think in the stretch to win by a nose in 1:52.1.
