Bruce Ranger and Ubetterthink Think took home the featured $15,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap pace at Tioga Downs on Friday night.
Ranger sent the mare to the front from post position number five through fractions of 26.4, 56.4, and 1:25 before Allamerican Celeb (Fern Paquet Jr.) took a shot first over from fourth.
Ranger and Ubetterthink Think repelled the first over challenge and as the duo headed into the stretch braced themselves for the pocket sitting Penny Pincher (Corey Braden).
Ubetterthink Think paced right to the wire with a final panel of 28.1 winning by a length over Penny Pincher (Corey Braden), and the late charging Lucy Lucy (Howard Parker) in 1:53.1.
It was the sixth win of the year for the 6-year old daughter of Bettor’s Delight-Pensive, who is trained by Mark Ford for Robert O Di Nozzi.
With the victory Ubetterthink Think increased her seasonal earnings to more than $137,000.
Bruce Ranger posted a driving triple on the night’s 10-race card, while Corey Braden and Gaston Lareau each had driving doubles.
