Paquet Wins 5!

Opan Heart returned home to Tioga Downs on Sunday afternoon in the featured condition pace, and the 6-year-old son of Ameripan Gigolo–Panic Depressive equaled his lifetime mark.

Getting away fourth from post position number two, Opan Heart watched the leaders cut through fractions of 26.4 and 55.2.

Just past the half mile pole, Marohn tipped Opan Heart to the outside and flushed cover from Red Star Paylater (Ed Hensley) as the field headed towards three quarters.

Leader Stettin Hanover and Red Star Paylater were in a nose-to-nose battle past three quarters in 1:23.4.

Around the final turn, Marohn headed Opan Heart out three high and paced home through the stretch an easy winner in 1:52.4.

The Awful Truth (Simon Allard) used a two hole trip to secure second, while Stettin Hanover (Corey Braden) hung on for third.

It was the second win in eight seasonal starts for Opan Heart who is trained by Jim Perry for William and Jack Heinz.

Fern Paquet Jr. hosted a driving clinic at Tioga on Sunday afternoon, posting five wins on the 10-race card, while Jimmy Marohn Jr. bagged two wins.
