Three divisions of New York Sire Stakes for 3-year-old colt pacers lead a 13 -race card on Sunday afternoon at Tioga Downs beginning at 1:30 pm.
Headlining the three divisions is Heston Blue Chip in
division number three (race 8) in his first start off of his fourth place
finish in the $600,000 Meadowlands Pace.
Regular driver Tim Tetrick will make
the trip to Nichols, NY to drive the 3-year-old son of American
Ideal – Shot Togo Bluechip for trainer Linda Toscano.
Heston Blue Chip has won
five of his six seasonal starts with a mark of 1:49.1 at The Meadowlands, good
for earnings of more than $220,000.
The duo have drawn post position number one
in a field of six and have been listed as the 2-1 morning line favorite.
Steelhead Hanover has been made the 5-2 morning line
favorite in the first division fresh off of his 1:50 win in last week's
Tompkins-Geers stakes at Tioga.
Jim Morrill Jr. will be re-united with the son
of Bettor's Delight – Special Beauty for trainer Joe Pavia Jr.
Tioga Downs and the United States Trotting Association will
once again offer a $5,000 guaranteed pick four on Sunday afternoon beginning
with race number 10.
