Jeff
Gural marked momentous occasion alongside local and state leaders
Nichols, N.Y. – December
1, 2017 – Entertainment and gaming destination Tioga Downs celebrated the grand
opening of its new hotel Friday alongside state and local leaders, community
stakeholders and our media partners.
Lt.
Governor Kathy Hochul, along with dozens of state and local dignitaries and 200
guests, commemorated the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a
reception. Visitors also had the exciting opportunity to tour the new hotel and
its new accompaniments.
The
new hotel boasts 161 rooms and spans six floors. The rooms and suites are
polished and modern, complete with real wooden furniture from Jacob &
Levi’s out of Sugarcreek, Ohio. The hotel also includes a new events center
that can accommodate up to 400 guests for special occasions such as weddings
and banquets. Tioga Downs also revealed its exciting new amenities for the
first time, including the full-service AgeLess spa, fitness center, two rooftop
decks, an events center with banquet and reception areas that can accommodate
up to 400 people, and P.J. Clarke’s restaurant. Guests will enjoy three
swimming areas — an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and a water slide. Additionally,
there will be a new clubhouse for the nearby Tioga Country Club golf
course, which includes a new dining location, pro shop, locker rooms and
spacious banquet area for those looking to host special occasions at the club.
“We’re
honored and humbled to have so many join us to celebrate this major milestone
in the transformation of Tioga Downs into a full-service destination resort,”
Jeff Gural, Chairman of American
Racing and Entertainment LLC, said. “We now have a convenient and
comfortable place for guests of all ages to stay and enjoy the many wonderful
amenities the property has to offer. This will make Tioga Downs an even bigger
draw for weddings, parties, and conferences, bring visitors and tourism to
Tioga County, and most importantly, ensure quality jobs for the hard-working
men and women in the Southern Tier.”
“The
opening of the Tioga Downs Resort and Casino raises the bar for tourism in the
Southern Tier,” said Lieutenant Governor Hochul. “The Governor’s “Southern Tier
Soaring” strategy is about revitalizing this area of the state, and projects
like this are making it a reality by providing hundreds of jobs and generating
revenue for local governments and our schools.”
Ground
broke on these exciting attractions in September 2016, shortly after Tioga
Downs was awarded a full gaming license. These new additions will create
hundreds of new jobs, bringing the total number of Tioga Downs employees to
about 700.

Although no solid action has yet been taken, the international effort signals a major shift in the loot box regulation debate. The move comes in the wake of a crackdown on loot boxes by several European countries, including Belgium and the Netherlands, song bai online
