Tioga Downs will host a special racing program on Monday, May 28 (Memorial Day) at 1:30 pm featuring 13 divisions of New York State Fair Stakes.
Seven divisions for 3-year-old
colt and gelding pacers will be contested, while there will be six divisions for
3-year-old pacing fillies.
Leading the way for the
State Fair Stakes for the fillies is Jamie Sue from the Mark Ford Stable.
The
3-year-old daughter of Art Major – Road To Pandalay has already posted a NYSS
victory this season when she dead heated with Brownsville Bomber at Vernon Downs
last weekend.

She will go to the post in the first division for fillies on
Monday afternoon, sporting a record of five wins and four seconds in 11
seasonal outings, good for earnings of more than $80,000.
Leading the way for the
colts is Domethatagain from the Erv Miller Stable.
The 3-year-old son of
Bettor's Delight – Road Sign has already posted two second place finishes in
sire stakes action, but will look for the second win in his fifth seasonal start
on Monday in race number seven.
The New York State Fair
Stakes will be part of the Excelsior Series this year in New York, and points will
be awarded in the state fair stakes for the Excelsior Series.
Vernon Downs kicks
off the New York State Fair Stakes weekend on Friday night (6:55 pm) with seven
divisions for 3-year-old trotting fillies, and four divisions for 3-year-old
colt trotters.
Tioga Downs continues with
live racing on Saturday night (May 26) at 6:50 pm, Sunday evening at 6:30 pm
(with fireworks immediately following live racing), and wraps up its holiday
weekend of racing on Monday, May 28 at 1:30 pm.
