Tioga Downs Regional Community Foundation to Present $500,000 Check

Cocktail reception for all funding recipients will be held Friday July 19 at 6:30 pm

Nichols, NY—As part of Tioga Downs’ ongoing commitment to supporting surrounding communities, the casino, with its owner Jeff Gural, will present $500,000 in funding from the Tioga Downs Regional Community Foundation to deserving organizations. The Foundation will present the award recipients with their share of the $500,000 at a cocktail reception to be held on Friday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Tioga Golf Club. The award is the first of two $500,000 check presentations that the Foundation, a non-profit organization that reviews and selects the applications for grant funding, will make this year.

In order to qualify for funding through the Foundation, applicants must be charitable, religious, literary, scientific or educational groups operating in Broome, Tioga, Chemung or Bradford counties. Qualifying 501(c)(3) organizations have the opportunity to apply twice annually for awards, during the July and January cycle. Accounting for both award periods, Tioga Downs will donate a total of $1 million during 2019.
