2-year-old colt trotters in the NYSS headline Tioga's Friday night card



Two divisions of 2-year-old colt and gelding trotters headline Friday night's card at Tioga Downs led by morning line favorites CrazzyCrazzy (Jim Morrill Jr.) and Flyhawk El Durado (Jim Morrill Jr.).

The first division will go to the post in the evening's fourth race for $54,181 led by the Casie Coleman trained CrazzyCrazzy. The 2-year-old son of Crazed – Striking Vintage is coming off a debut win in the NYSS at Monticello with an easy two and a half length victory in 1:59.1. Jim Morrill also did the steering that day on CrazzyCrazzy and will once again be at the controls.
Flyhawk El Durado

In the second division for $55,181, Flyhawk El Durado will look for his third straight win on the season. The 2-year-old son of Conway Hall – El Paso Gal opened his career with a second and a win in NYSS competition for driver, trainer, and co-owner Jimmy Whittemore before being sold privately to Martin Scharf where he now resides in the care of trainer Mark Ford. In his first start for the new connections, Flyhawk El Durado captured the Tompkins-Geers at Tioga Downs in a new lifetime best of 1:57.3. Flyhawk El Durado will start from post position number three in a field of nine in Friday night’s ninth race on the card.
